Ben-Ezra Synagogue in Fostat (Massr a-‘atika)

Ben-Ezra Synagogue in Fostat (Massr a-'atika), old Cairo. Was built in the year 25 of the first century, as mentioned by the famous historian Dov Goitein, as well as by Yacov Cohen & Shmuel Tamari. (Because of its basilica style, Albert Buttler argued it was bought in 882 from the Coptic church). Regarded as the most antique Synagogue in the world.
