Shaar Hashamayim Synagogue
Shaar Hashamayim Synagogue (Kenisset Ismailiya), at Adly Street, Cairo. A most impressive architecture, designed by the architect Maurice Youssef Cattaoui together with the Austrian Edward Matasek. Initiated and built in 1903-1905 by Mosseri family. Regained its splendor in 1981, after being renovated by Nessim Gaon (Genève), originary from Soudan-Egypt. The only Synagogue today in Cairo holding Services in the Jewish Holidays
